More than a hundred acres were ravaged by wildfire in the northeastern part of Stephens County, Breckenridge American reported on April 29.
According to reports, several groups of firefighters and volunteers from surrounding areas battled the fire. Dozers provided and utilized by A&M Forest Service helped contain it. At least 185 acres were reportedly scorched near CR 179 after electrical lines got struck in trees due to strong winds. No properties were reported as damaged by the wildfire, and no one got injured.
