On Tuesday, December 17, hundreds of firefighters worked to contain a wildfire that had already spread across 500 acres of California coastline.
The fire began at midnight on Monday, December 16. Investigators are still looking for a cause to the fire. The National Drought Mitigation Center explained that the majority of the state of California is under an extreme drought warning.
