A couple in Bastrop is now doing what they can in order to help those who lost their homes in the Bastrop fire. The couple has arranged a business called Zero to Furniture and the offer furniture to those who have lost everything.
The couple arranged the program by asking for furniture and appliance donations. They ask for any type of furniture, big or small, because most people that have lost their homes have lost everything with it.
Nearly 1,600 homes were destroyed in the Labor Day fires in Bastrop County and the program has already helped out 342 families. The Zero to Furnished program is only open two days a week, but they manage to see nearly 40 families during that time.
