The losses from the Bastrop wildfire have risen to nearly $325 million from those who lost homes and property in the Labor Day wildfire.
After the final tally, it was found that 1,673 homes were destroyed in the fire and after all the home insurance claims came in, the total is up to $325 million. Some homeowners have received payments for the homes that they lost while others are still waiting.
Also, some are trying to keep a record of the personal items that were lost in the fire, but are finding it difficult to remember everything. The Bastrop fire is now the costliest fire in the history of Texas.
